‘School Streets’ Coming this Spring

The Ontario School Streets Pilot (OSSP) is testing the implementation of car-free zones surrounding schools in the Ontario communities of Hamilton, Mississauga, and Markham.

Since the November 2021 update, the project teams have been busy selecting schools, doing public engagement, assembling working groups, securing necessary permits, and planning for operations. The OSSP project is set to launch on the ground this spring.
