Are you looking to inspire children to use active and sustainable transportation? Join the iwalk-iwheel club to be part of the movement to support healthier kids, communities and neighbourhoods.
What is the iwalk-iwheel club?
The iwalk-iwheel club is an Ontario program to equip teachers and their students to promote and celebrate active school travel year-round. The aim of the club is to encourage more students to walk or wheel (bicycle, scooter, skateboard) for their school journeys.
Who can join the club?
Teachers, principals, or anyone in a supervisory role in an Ontario elementary school can sign-up their group, class or whole-school of students. Other child-focused groups in Ontario, such as scouts, guides or boys and girls clubs are also welcome to join the iwalk-iwheel club.
Club members receive resources to help promote walking and wheeling year-round:
- Club cards for trip-tracking activities, raffles and competitions
- A calendar of walking and wheeling events
- Activity ideas sheets
- Quarterly e-newsletter, featuring news, events, ideas and links to resources
